I will miss my baby devon who always filled my thoughts and my day with joy. He always had a beautiful smile that made mine, papa Mark and Auntie Lee a wonderful day to treasure. He was the most intelligent and entertaining child to learn from and listen to. My son Chris and Brittany have done a wonderful job in raising Devon and have to be respected for all the trials and tribulation they went through in caring for my baby through the hard times he went through.Devon will be remembered in all of our hearts and will never be forgotten and will always watch all of his family from above as the angel he was. We love you Devon and we will miss you alot. Love Papa Mark, Grandma CoCo and Auntie Lee.

God has taken back the angle he sent my family to teach them what love is all about. In all my time on this earth I have never encountered such a unique child as Devon. The joy and happiness I felt when we were together is unexplainable, as is the grief and loneliness that now takes his place. He was the sunshine of my life, which was so quickly taken way. To the two bravest people I know, my granddaughter Britt and his Dada "Chris Milarr" you will always have my utmost respect for strength you've displayed the for the past two years. To my "Baby Sweetheart" who endured the pain because he knew how much we needed him, rest now my love. Nana

My grandson was, and still is a unique boy. His eyes were piercing and he had the ability to see through a person, right into their heart. At his age, he was intellegent beyond comprehension. We often thought he was in his teens due to his expanded vocabulary and his ability to express himself. His love and understanding of music was equally impressive. How many 3 and a half year old children like Jazz and MJ? He appeared to absorb all the little details in his short life, and his desire to fight for his life would rival that of the greatest warrior on this planet. Everyone who had contact with him learned something from him. Their lessons are unique to them and he has made a lasting impression on individuals still here. He knew his family loved him, and you could see that he loved them back. He gave subtle hints to us that he would be leaving, but he still fought hard. No words can express the loss, and no words can express the joy that this little boy gave me and his family. Through all the hardships that he endured in the last 2 years, he would always give you a smile. I commend my daughter and Chris for their strength while supporting him through all the surgeries and treatments. It was tough, I know, I was there. To a unique little boy...Papo loves you always.

There is no greater joy than that of being a mother. There is no greater grief than losing a child. The Bible says, "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His Saints". As sure as the stars shine brightly tonight, God reached down and wrapped His loving arms around precious Devon. May He who created the universes, grant you extraordinary peace and comfort during the days, weeks and months ahead. And may you know that we are all praying for you.
