I am a late addition to the family. I married my beautiful wife Cara the Grand daughter of Betty, in June of 2012. Unfortunately she could not attend our wedding but was there in living spirit and honor. I will always remember her Warming Smile, Beautiful Presence and Soft Spoken voice. I was always flattered of her compliments and kind words! May you rest in peace G.G. and always know that Fred is thinking about you!

I will forever cherish the many memories that I shared with my Grammy. She was a very important part of my life, and I will never forget her. I'm very lucky to be part of such a wonderful family, and she was the driving force behind that family! I will miss her greatly, and she will always be in my heart!

For every life has a purpose to fill, a purpose which us humans can seldom infer. But she was a gift from heaven, whose purpose was to make this world understand what love, friendship, goodness, and humbleness was all about. Goodness belongs to heaven, and I know this angel is watching us from there, bestowing her beautiful smile upon us. G.G. we miss you dearly but one day we will see that beautiful smile again. May her soul rest in peace.

My Mother Eunice Leopold became friends with Betty eleven years ago. When my parents moved into The Gardens at Columbine. On March 10th Mom and I stopped in to see Betty and extend our blessings for her next journey.

I remember Betty from her stay at The Gardens of Columbine. My mother-in-law Edith Carroll was also a resident many years ago and found Betty to be a very special friend. Betty was a gentle and kind woman. I like to think they are both together again enjoying each ohers company. My deepest sympathy to all her lovely family.

My mom represented beauty, kindness, faith, love and truth. She was the glue that held this huge family together and will still have that role in heaven. I will miss her so much, but know she is happy to be rid of that cumbersome body. She is free and resting in God's arms. Love you mom, Gayle

In loving memory of your wonderful mother. I remember your mom fondly as the Sander's home on Utica Street in North Denver was my home-away-from-home. It has been a great honor and priviledge to know and share Betty with her family for almost 30 years. Her life story is filled with so many examples of her love and devotion to family and friends they are too numerous to count. We are her nieces, Jerre Ann and Marian. currently helping our mother, hazel move into assisted living. Hazel state "heaven gained wonderful person". Mom and Dad (brother Jerry) loved to spend time with her and go on trips with Betty. what better epitath then to say someone was such a good soul and you wanted to spend time with them. sending condolences, love and a big hug. I am a member of "Betty's Gang," from St. Joseph Hospital and delighted in celebrating her life every year after she retired. She not only supervised us in the Hematology lab, she mentored us and shared her keen insights not only about how we should conduct our work, but about how we could become better people. For example, when I signed up for an "assertiveness" session scheduled by an outside provider (which St. Jos. invited in for all of us), Betty cautioned me, "Sally, please don't do that!" ["We're butting heads already"]! What I will always remember most is Betty's capacity to connect with ANYONE, her nurturance and mentoring, her keen intelligence and wit, and her devotion to her family, friends, and her relationship with God and other believers. I will miss her very much and take stock in how she loved all of us and served as such a great role model for women who are able to balance their priorities and "do it all," well!
