Gladys' and coach Bill had a great impact on my life in high school at East in the late 50's. Great couple who influenced many in high school.

We loved Gladys. I got to know her well the past six months while she stayed in the assisted living home with my mother, Vera Gregory. She always had a smile and laugh. A number of my high school friends loved Gladys, too, as they got to know her when they were high school as they were varsity basketball players for her husband, Bill Weimer, who is a legendary basketball coach/teacher at George Washington HS in Denver.

I will always remember how Mr. and Mrs. Weimar made their home so welcome during my high school days. Lots of good memories playing pool and Ping-Pong downstairs, and playing hoops outside under the lights.
