Helen M. Thayer

HUDSON - Helen M. Thayer, 67, wife of Fred A. Thayer, died July 15, 2015 at her home in Hudson. She was born April 2, 1948 in Bangor, the daughter of Everett and Mary (Whitmore) Stubbs.

Helen attended Glenburn schools and had worked various jobs throughout her life. She was a dedicated wife and homemaker who loved her family and she always loved the time she spent at family gatherings and cookouts. Helen enjoyed different activities especially four wheeling which she did as recently as last week. She was a member of the Airline Snack Bar ATVers Club "Swamp Donkeys."

Surviving in addition to her husband of Hudson are three sons, Fred Thayer and his wife, Laurie of Hudson, Brian Thayer and his wife, Deanna of Glenburn and Mike Thayer and his wife, Kerri of Hermon; grandchildren, Megan Thayer, Brandon Thayer and his wife, Christina, Benjamin and Samantha Thayer, Michael and Briana Thayer, Amanda Robertson and her husband, John; great grandchildren; one sister, Joan Walker of Glenburn; four sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother and his wife, Everett and Gail Stubbs and by two brothers-in-law, Harold Walker and Wendell Thayer. She will be dearly missed by her dog, Heidi. Helen's family gratefully thanks Linda Halloran and Mabel Walker for their loving care.

Family and friends may visit 6 - 7 PM Monday, July 20, 2015 at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor where a service honoring Helen's life will be held at 7 PM as the visitation concludes.
