I was just thinking about my buddy, Joe, today. We lost touch years ago and I wondered where in the world Joe might be. I did a quick search on the internet and found this.
Rest in peace, buddy. I know you're smiling in heaven and cracking those jokes of yours. You'll be greatly missed.

I love you Dad, I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are proud of the way that Pam, Joey and I (Rita) worked together in the preparation for your "Going home" event. We worked hard and long to make this a beautiful event. It was all about you Dad. I'm thankful that You, Pam and Mom came to Texas to spend Father's Day with me (Rita). It was a beautiful time together, that I will always cherish. You're grand children and great grands, Daniel, Aubry, Blake, Nadia, Shane, Liberty, Dalton, Memphis, Kade, Ashlee, Cristiana, Evelynne, Miguel and Porter Pentecostal Church will miss you dearly! You fought a good fight Dad, and in the end you did it God's way and that's what matters most. I will see you again, in the meantime I will continue in the faith, one Lord, one Faith, one Baptism. Give JESUS and Fred a big kiss and hug from me.
Love your baby daughter,
Ritabell aka Rita Hagen

I remember when DJ came along Pa wanted to teach him how to be a boxer. I wasn't so keen on the idea. Pa used to tell DJ to punch him in the face even though I didn't approve, and I never told Pa no. I am thankful my children were able to know my Grandfather.
