John was a Denver School of the Arts Piano Department parent years ago. He was fun to talk to after department recitals and always had an original take on life's challenges.
My partner and I attended Impulse Theater at least once a year, and we were disappointed when it closed. We love Improv comedy, and Impulse was always a delightful treat. At Impulse John was always good for a free drink, which I gladly accepted. Plus, he was always good for the twinkle in the eye and the unexpected originality in the conversation.
I didn't have the chance to get to know John as well as I would have liked to. To John's friends and family, please accept my humblest condolences at the loss of a good man, especially in a world where sometimes a good man can be hard to come by.

We were so sorry to hear of John’s passing. Both Joe and I have fond memories of him. He was one of the nicest people and his outgoing personality would fill a room. Our deepest condolences.

My condolences to the Wegerbauer family. I can't imagine the pain of losing somebody so suddenly. John seemed like quite the character and awesome human being! Be sure to say HI to my husband, Patrick, in Heaven, John!

John you were always smiling and making all of us happy! You wanted everyone to get along and “lighten up” and that’s still a worthwhile message today! God’s speed my friend To John’s friends and family I’m sorry for your loss.

My sympathies to the family and friends of John. One of the smartest guys growing up.
Edgewood and Scanlon schools were just a part of us to witness John’s talents.
