Bill and Family: I was very saddened when CL informed our Host Committee of Kathy's passing. We only met when you came out to Pasadena for the Tournament of Roses activities last month, but I shall always remember Kathy's wonderful unfailing smile.
May God Bless you and your family,

Dear Bill,
It was a great pleasure to have met Kathleen although only briefly and under circumstances that God only knows.
I was deeply saddened to hear about Kathy's remission as we both had wrapped up our chemo treatments together a while back.
I will never forget her walking around Rose with her unending smile and her soft and caring touch. Please know that we have another angel looking after us and especially you in your loss.
May God Bless you with comfort and relief and more importantly the strength to move ahead until your time comes where you meet again.
Deepest and warmest thoughts

Dear Bill, Molly and Casey:
I only met Kathy once here in St. Louis last June when I assisted her in getting a Dr. appointment.
She was so kind, patient and friendly I felt we had known each other forever. Please accept my sincere condolences to each of you. The Fusz Pavilion Jesuits offered a petition at Mass today for all of you.

Bill, Molly and Casey, My deepest sympathies to all of you. Kathy was such a dear friend and an inspiration to so many of us. I does not seem possible that we will be without her. There are few people in the world who we are really touched by, and she was certainly one of them. I was so fortunate to have been able to see her last November. We had a wonderful time reminiscing about our days at Ottumwa Heights College, old friends and the paths that we had taken. However, through all of this I cherished her friendship as one of my most valued ones. She was so positive and lived life to the fullest. Anyone who knew her has been deeply blessed. I shall always remember her personal warmth and friendship. God bless.

Bill, Molly, and Casey,
Kathy was one of 56 Ruth first cousins. She "recruited" me to go to Ottumwa Heights and then often checked up on me to see how I was doing! What a loss~ It's too bad that God always needs the "good ones" in Heaven!

What an inspiration Kathy was to all of us. She fought her battle with nothing but courage, faith, and smiles. She took up her Cross and trudged forward with the undying faith she lived daily, and the love she had for both her family and Jesus. We will all miss that joyous, bright, welcoming face she brought to all of us. God be with you all during this very difficult time. Kathy is now in all of our hearts, never to be forgotten. I know that smile is bigger than ever now, as she holds the Hand of Jesus.
All of our Love,
Paul and Susie Grisley

Dear Bill and the entire Fortune family:
Abbie, Sean and I are extremely saddened to hear of the death of Kathy.
Kathy Fortune was the ultimate kind and loving wife, mother and friend. She always had a smile for anyone she met and she was deeply commited to her Roman Catholic Church, her faith, her parish and Regis University in Denver, Colorado.
We have all lost such a great friend, a wonderful person. She battled a long fight with cancer in a very brave way. She taught us all how to die with grace and humility. She truly was a kind and holy woman of God.
We extend our sincerest sympathy to Bill, Molly and Casey.
We love you all.
