Ken was my friend. I learned of his passing today when I called and the phone had been disconnected. I moved from Denver some 8 years ago but we remained in touch, though not often enough. Many an evening we spent sipping a spirit, talking teaching ,but more often just sharing a good laugh. Good, good person. Good friend. Thank you for the memories. Sadly missed.

We first met Ken several years ago on a house boat excursion organized by our brother Chuck. He and Carol also invited their Bridge group in Denver. We had a terrific week with lots of laughs and fond remembrances. Later we took Bridge lessons so we could join the group on our trips to Colorado. We never rose above abysmal but Ken was always patient and forgiving and we had a great time when we got together. He is a real prince of a guy.

Ken was a very nice man and will be missed by all the OPOCS members that knew him. He was the club's past treasurer and president. He was a gracious host at the parties at his homes and he did a great job at Christmas decorating. May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. Sincerely, Linda Theilgaard

A few years ago Ken had a BBQ for the
Ports-of-Call Singles people on a Sunday afternoon. He couldn't get his grill to work, so he asked me to go with him in his pick-up to Home Depot
to buy a new one. When we arrived he parked next to the grills, picked one out, whipped out his credit card, and the grill was loaded into the pick-up.
As we raced back he made a left turn onto another street, the grill fell out
onto the concrete pavement, and broke into several pieces. With the help of another motorist, we put the grill and the pieces back into the truck. At home he managed to put it together and it worked. Whoever has that grill now knows why it has so many dents.
