Kevin and Debra Dorrell

We remember Kevin Jerome and Debra Michele Dorrell who died in a vehicle accident on Tuesday, May 28th while traveling to Mississippi to pick up their granddaughters. A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, June 24th 2013, 10:30, at Word of Life Christian Center, 8700 Park Meadows Drive, Lone Tree, Colorado, for family and friends. Reception immediately following. Kevin Dorrell was born on September 18 1958, in West Virginia, to John and Cora Elizabeth Dorrell Jr. His family later moved to San Diego CA, where he graduated from Helix High School, and then went on to Grossmont College. Kevin married Debra (Dunmore) Dorrell of Santee CA. They moved to Aurora Colorado in 1986, where they raised their children. Kevin enjoyed reading his Bible daily, nurturing his grandchildren’s development, refurbishing homes, cars, and fishing. Above all, he loved his family with his whole heart, and gave his entire life to sharing the word of God, serving, and loving people. Debra Michele (Dunmore) Dorrell was born on November 21, 1962 to Albert and Rosa Dunmore of Baltimore Maryland Debra was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter and sister. Debra was always happy with an infectious smile and laugh. Debra’s laughter oftentimes would fill a room with love and enjoyment. Debra had a heart for children, appreciation for health, life and others; what seem to make her smile the most was children. Debra was also very smart, paying attention to detail and remembering key details. If you told her something, she would remember it for years to come. Debra also loved to play the piano, baking during the holiday season, engaging in new art and crafts, and decorating her home; which was a safe haven. Kevin is proceeded in death by his father John Dorrell and sister Debra Green. Kevin and Debra are survived by a son, Darian Dorrell, Hoboken New Jersey, two daughters Leticia Williams and Ashley Dorrell of Aurora Colorado and three grandchildren, as well as his mother, Cora Elizabeth Dorrell of Carlsbad CA. Debra’s parents Albert and Rosa Dunmore, brothers Albert Jr. and Troy Dunmore Santee, CA and sister Christy Dunmore -Leonard of Chula Vista CA. Kevin’s is survived by his brothers, Keith Dorrell, Highland Ranch, Colorado, Kent Dorrell, Simi Valley, CA, Karl Dorrell, Houston Texas, his sisters, Donna Starr of Carlsbad and Daphne Dorrell La Mesa CA and a host of relatives.
