Mariana Rossi Obituary

ROSSI, MARIANA Mariana Rossi, 83, of Arvada, died December 17, 2006, after a long battle of cancer. She is survived by her children, Ron Rossi, Larry Rossi, Dave Rossi, John Rossi; Grandchildren Jess, Alex, Jameson, Mark, Kevin, Maya, Andrea, Sara, Nicole, Jayne. Great-grandchildren: Jane and numerous nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 a.m., Friday, Dec. 22, Spirit of Christ Catholic Community, 7400 W. 80th Ave. Born January 15, 1923, New Meadows, Idaho. She received her bachelor's degree at Colorado Northern College in 1941 and a Masters' degree in learning disabilities from Colorado Northern College in 1974. She was a Denver Public School elementary teacher for 30 years. She was honored by Denver Public Schools in 1975 receiving the Teacher of the Year Award. She was a member of the Zigma Zigma Pi Lamba Sorority (1942-1943) and an honorary member of Pi Lamba Theta Theta (1946). She was an active member of the professional Teacher's Sorority Alpha Delta Kappa since 1973. Memorial contributions can be made in Mariana's name to Make a Wish Foundation.

Mariana was always fun to spend time with, good humored, interested and interesting. She and Nick were wonderful grandparents and parents and friends. We'll miss her too.

Marianna presence will be greatly missed. She always completed birthday gatherings, and we loved to include her. She was so kind to our family with her love and friendship.
