Maxine Stephenson

Maxine Stephenson Obituary

Born in Portland OR, an only child she found Friends in her books, learning and teaching to be her passions in life. Upon graduating from Willamette University she married Alvin Pietschman and moved to Ogden, UT. After his death, as a young widow, she began her teaching career. She married William Stephenson and they had the opportunity to travel extensively together. Later she move to Littleton, CO and continued her involvement in church and other organizations. She is survived by her children Art (Julie) Ricca and Paul Pietschman, and the Stephenson's, Ellen (Tom) McCarley, Jim, Jan (Jim Orrock) and Kay (John) Larrison, 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
A service will be held on Feb. 4th 2:00 at Grace Presbyterian Church.

Maxine was a joy to be around. A strong independent and outspoken lady. I enjoyed talking to her about her life, kids, and books over coffee in her little kitchen. I will miss her.
