MANOOGIAN, MICHAEL
(MANOOG)
April 16, 1925-May 22, 2007
A beloved husband to Helen for 59 yrs., a loving father to John, Nancy, Tom, and Lisa, a devoted grandfather, and brother. A WWII Veteran of Armenian descent, Mike was born and raised in Highland Park, Michigan, and moved to Denver in 1971. A former John Hancock salesman, Mike is known best as the 'Walking Man's Friend' for his success in the automobile business. He made a lasting impression with his positive view of life, and was an inspiration to all who knew him. His unique ability to establish and sustain lifelong friendships was treasured by many. Rather than retire in 1994, Mike remained actively involved in the business world, working for Major League Marketing with his son. Our 'King' will be celebrated at a memorial service on Saturday, May 26th, at 2:00 p.m., at The Waterford, 1900 E. Girard Place. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Mike's name to the Samaritan House Shelter, 2301 Lawrence St., Denver, CO 80205.

Your Family
May 19, 2008
Dear Dad,
A year ago this week, our family experienced a tremendous loss as you made your transition to the non-physical realm. Each of us has felt the impact of your absence in our life and none of us will ever be the same without you. Not a day goes by that you aren't thought of in loving ways, and there are pictures and reminders of you everywhere. While your presence may not be seen, we know you are listening and watching over us. The memories of you are always alive in our hearts.
Loving you and missing you,
June 24, 2007
Dad it's been just over 30 days that you left us physically but I want you to know we think about you every day Miss you lots hope you are watching down on us
Love You

Dear Mr. Manoogian,
Although I never met you, if Lisa is a reflection of the kind of person you were, you were terrific. As a fellow avid gum-chewer, I won't easily forget the time that Lisa thought I had stuck chewed gum onto the headboard in her guest room, when, in actuality, it turned out to be you!

I just heard of your loss and know that you all must miss your Dad profoundly. Mike was the King and I'm sure he is "upstairs" having a chat with God. He did right by all of you and carrying his memories will make him only a thought away.

I just read all the entries made so far and it is clear to me that there is so much love within your family and many loving friendships. What a blessing to you all. Nancy, your dad will live on in you and those that loved him. I never got to know him but knowing you I realize he was a very special man to have a daughter like you.

Dear Aunt Helen, Nancy, Tom and Lisa: My sincerest condolences to you all. I hope that your fond memories of Mike help to sustain you in the difficult weeks ahead. I am forever grateful to Uncle Mike for reuniting me with my dearest childhood friend Nancy. I guess our fathers were modeling for us the fact that you can move out of Highland Park, but Highland Park and the friendships formed there stay with you. Mike always stayed in contact with his Armenian Highland Park buddies. Nancy, I think your dad wanted us to have that same experience--that was a father's gift to his daughter. Thanks, Uncle Mike! Nancy and family: Yes shad k'seerem kezee. Paula

To Nancy, Jeff, Mom M., Tom, Lisa and all the Manoogian Family,
I was so saddened to hear of your Dad's passing. I always thought you had such a cool Dad! He made sure the Huskettes had a convertible to ride in the Homecoming parade! And I got to ride to school every day with you in a Kharmann Ghia! He and your Mom were like second parents to me while we were growing up. While I hadn't seen him in a very long time, be assured that I will miss his smiling face and enthusiasm for life.
Love to all,
Aretha and Rick Jachimski

Mike our Miracle Man:
We will miss you more than we can say. You were truly a joyous addition to our family. We love you and our prayers are with you. When you get up to the Pearly Gates just tell St. Peter that you did it "your way". The times we spent together were so happy times. We will always remember your smile and jokes.
