REID, PHILLIP ""P.J.""
-Of Flushing, age 64, died Friday, September 24, 2004 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services were held 3 p.m. Sunday, September 26, 2004 at Rossell Funeral Home. Cremation followed services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the D.A.V. or the Salvation Army.
-P.J. was born in New York City, NY, September 2, 1940, the son of William and Leota (Worley) Reid. He married Joanne VanBecelaere in Denver, CO on March 20, 1965. P.J. graduated from Atherton High School in 1958. He was a switchman for the Rio Grande Railroad for 32 years. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy.
-Surviving are: wife Joanne Reid of Flushing; daughter Shanna Reid of L.A., CA; mother Leota Owen of Flushing; two brothers, Michael and wife Karen Sheets of Flushing, Daniel and wife Joanne Sheets of Yuma, AZ; sister Sharon and husband Dennis Jernigan of Flint; sisters-in-law, Yvonne and husband Chet Ellingson of Flushing, Betty Sheetz of Owosso; numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
-He was preceded in death by his sister Delores Pollard, and brother Bernard (Harry) Sheetz.
-Rossell Funeral Home, Inc., Flushing, MI.

Dear Joanne and Shanna,
I just wanted to let you two know that I am thinking about you. I am so sorry that you lost your beloved husband and father. I feel so blessed to have met you at the hospital and want you to know that I will think of you often and keep you in my heart forever. I hope maybe one day we will meet again. Joanne take care. My thoughts are with you.
