I am so sorry for your loss. I was luckey enough to have Bus as my Elementary School P. E. Teacher at Walt Whitman Elementary and he was a great teacher! I was also luckey enough to have Bus as my mentor as a student teacher and I felt that his input to me was something that I cannot measure in words. The baseball community will sorely miss Bus as well as all the kids that he helped along the way! What a great example he was!

My simpathy to Mrs. Campbell and the Campbell family.
Bus took me under his wing when I came home from my first year at K State in 1966. I had some mechanical and control problems with my pitching and he spent many hours with me that summer. More than the improvement in technique, Bus instilled some much needed confidence that allowed me to have a successful career at K State. I offered to pay him at one time and he would never accept any money.
His passing is a tremendous loss to all his student players and the entire baseball community. He was a truly giving man.

Mr. Campbell was my elementary PE teacher and the single driving force of my athletic career. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. He will be missed!! Rest in Peace Mr. C!!
