Having known Roger for five years, the news of his passing were received with both shock and disbelief. Even now, I have a hard time knowing that his gentleness and humor will no longer grace any of us. During those five yaers, I was privileged to love him and respect him, and to be on the other side of many of his debates. His mind was filled with wonders and his smile ever-ready on his lips. He was a true gentleman, rough around the edges in his blue flannel shirt and jeans, and a delight to be around, with a heart as pure as all the diamonds in this world. I will miss him dearly. However, all things provide a silver lining. I am blessed by having re-established a relationship with his daughter Stephanie, whom I hold very dear to my heart. That is his legacy to me; and I love her. To his family, my deepest sympathy; you've lost a shining star that can't be replaced.

To The Family of Roger Burt: I was very sad to hear of Roger's untimely death. As a classmate of Roger's at Broomfield High School, Class of 72 I wanted you to know that we will remember him fondly for all the happiness he brought to all of us through the years. He will be missed very much. God Bless all of you during this time. Ruth Anne Carlisle Trowbridge
