Ruby Martinez Obituary

Passed away August 22, 2006. Ruby was born in Wheatland, Wyoming on December 15, 1931. She married Dimas Duran in 1946. After they divorced in 1953 she and the children moved to Denver. Ruby worked various jobs including bartending on Larimer St. Once she retired she was a volunteer grandparent for Volunteers of America. She made friends everywhere she went whether it was walking on the 16th Street Mall or riding on the RTD. She was a small lady with a very big heart, smart, kind, strong, funny and will be missed by all she touched. She resided with her daughter Stephanie and her granddaughter La'Toya. Ruby was preceded in death by her son Isaac Duran and daughter Violet Randell. Survived by Anthony and Debbie Duran of Denver, Charlotte Wooden of Tennessee, Stephanie Duran of Denver and Gerald Flores of Denver. Sister Pricilla and Theodore Rivera, Alice Sanchez, Betty Dye, Violet and Joe Aragon. Brothers; Richard and Jessie Martinez, Marvin and Rose Campbell, late brother and sister; Manuel Campbell and Susan Garcia also 25 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Services are on August 30th, 10:30 AM at St. Pauls Community Church, 23rd W. Allison in Lakewood, CO.
