I read this obituary with my eyes wide open, completely stunned. I met Sarah when we first moved to Denver. She from Boulder and me from Honolulu. We went on a couple of dates and decided our friendship was more important to both of us. Though it has been a long while since we last spoke, I will never forget her inner kindness and obvious, outward generosity. Nor her love of animals and the great outdoors. To my dear friend Sarah, please rest in peace. God be with you and your family and your friends. I hope to see you again someday.

The saying goes that you may forget certain things about a person, but you never forget the way they made you feel. Sarah always made me feel good. We can all get caught up in life but our true essence remains. So Sarah...thank you for who you truly are because that is what I carry forward, that is what shines through and endures.

Sarah we always had a special bond with dogs and cars together. I will miss our random connections and the excitement we shared.
