Actually, I was laughing about all the times you and Rodney Jr. (Poe) would get home past your curfew and scale the side of the house and peck on Branda's window, she would let you in through the window so you wouldn't have come through the front door and get "caught" coming in late! I don't know why but i feel like visiting this book is as close as im going to get to shawn til my day gets here. I can't believe how long its been. I know he's gone and yet I still find myself trying to get a better look when i see someone that looks like him just to make sure. Silly but I just can't help myself. The simple truth is that I wasn't at his funeral so there is still that chance. Anyway, just making sure that Shawn is in everyones thoughts and that no one forgets him because I know i haven't.

Up until now i couldnt do it. I couldnt bring myself to write down what i know is true!(Shawn is gone) I believe i was closer to shawn than anyone of his friends and family. We grew up as brothers! He was and always will be my best friend. Nothing hurts worse than to think everyday goes by and I know i cant call him up or see him. Somehow I think this poem was always meant for her, but I just didn't know her when I wrote it. Here it is Candise. Please know that I love you with all of my heart my dear friend.

It makes my heart smile to read all the beautiful memories of Shawn. I did not know Shawn but I am friends with his sister, Candise. Candise spoke about her brother all the time. She loved him, worried about him and supported him like only a sister could. I know her and her daughter's life will not be the same without Shawn.

I remember the happy times that we had together. I know everyone said we were spoiled I knew we were alway spoiled because grandma and grandpa alway got us what we wanted and I can sit back and laugh because we were so happy.
