I became friends with Sherrie through our sons, Steven and John. We slogged through Cub Scouts and school, Halloween and Valentine parties. I took care of program and she took care of logistics so we were a good match together. I have always admired her intellect, her openness and honesty about herself and her life and her commitment to her son. For some reason, I was in the classroom when she told the kindergarten teacher those many years ago that she was fighting cancer and that Steven would need the teacher's support. Although we didn't know each other yet, I was struck by her strength and her love for Steven. She has been fighting long and hard and may she now rest in peace. Love and prayers and our thoughts are with you, Steven, Tom, and the Vincent and Moorman families.

A tribute to Sherri who fought to the end. We knew you as a beautiful teenager. To your husband and son, mother and sisters and many friends, we offer you our heart felt love and prayers. May God be your source of comfort in a most difficult time. Sherri is with the Lord, joining her father, enjoying a new body free from pain and suffering.
