March 12, 1943 - February 14, 2023
Stephen Roy Redmond, M.D., M.P.H, 79, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2023 in Aurora, Colorado from Alzheimer's Disease. Father of 4 sons, Dennis, John, Tim, and William and grandfather of 6 : Paul, Jennifer, Sarah, Katharine, Mia and Lila. He was also the loving husband of Nancy Willett Redmond for 55 years. Stephen was the Commissioner of Health for both Dutchess County and Rockland County and Deputy Commissioner of Health for Monroe County, all in New York. Later he was the Western Area Medical director for IBM. In his spare time he was a Little League Baseball coach, enjoyed gardening, swimming and playing with his Rhodesian Ridgeback dog Blazer. In his memory donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association. A memorial service for Stephen will be planned for the future.
