Dear Randy, Jeff & Joanie,
Our family was so Very saddened to hear of the passing of your mom and our "Aunt Sue" -in kindred spirit. Your mother was our mother's GREAT friend! She considered Sue Ellen her closest life long friend, from back in the early years in Great Bend all the way to the end of their lives. A true LIFE LONG friendship, which naturally made your mother & our mom introduce and involve the lives of their children together. Personally, your mom was so special to all of the Falen kids, and we naturally kept in touch with her when ever visiting the Denver area. It was on our most recent trip in Aug., 2009 that we found out about her passing while trying to set up a visit. All the Falen kids, loved your mother greatly, developed a strong bond with her from the days we spent together in Colorado when we were very young. Your mother was always a tender & compassionate caregiver in life, but also very strong, never to complain about her own set backs. She was a great wife to Glen, and loyal friend to many, including Mary Louise. She was a blessing and will always be missed by us. I will try to share some pictures from our last visit with her, but not sure if I have Joan's contact info. Please feel free to contact me if you see this message a year after her passing. I spoke to Randy back in Aug. '09, but actually lost connection with him during our phone call. What a Special lady!! With Deepest Sympathy.

Please accept my deepest sympathy. I attended Wellshire & was very happy to get to know your lovely mother on the choir tour throughout England & Scotland. We "hung out" together on the trip. She was so much fun to be with. Her quick wit and stamina was amazing. We had many many laughs together & saw so many great sights. I also swam with Sue at Athletic Club Monaco. We all did more talking than exercising.
My only regret was that I let our get-togethers become more infrequent and I'm afraid that I hadn't seen her in some time. Shame on me. But, that doesn't diminish my love & admiration for her. She was one special lady--and that's a lady with a capital L!
I would love to share my photos of us together in England/Scotland sometime.
My love & prayers go out to you all.
