OLLIE COLE PAYNE

Ollie Cole Payne, 93, of DeRidder, La., passed from this life on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014, at DeRidder, La.
Ollie was born on Friday, March 11, 1921, to Gus and Bertha Miller Cole in Reeves, La. She lived most of her life in DeRidder. Ollie was a graduate and valedictorian of Dry Creek High School and attended Port Arthur Business School. She was Secretary/Treasurer of McMahon Investment Company for 43 years. Ollie was the last Charter Member of Wesley United Methodist Church of DeRidder, La., former active member of United Methodist Women and Kisatchie Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is survived by her daughter, Joanna Hauser and husband Ray of DeRidder, La.; 1 brother, George H. Cole of Lafayette, La.; 1 sister, Genny Cole Nichols of Baton Rouge, La.; 2 grandchildren, Allan Beuron Hauser and wife Ashley of DeRidder, La. and Marcie Hauser of Alvin, Texas, and 3 great grandchildren, Alaina Claire, Addison Jane and Aiden Joseph Hauser. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph Beuron Payne; 1 sister, Gladys Youngblood and 4 brothers, Murrell Cole, Marshall Cole, Mancel Cole and Ray Cole.
The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014, at 3 p.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church in DeRidder, La., with Rev. Heather Leyland officiating. Burial will follow at Beauregard Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder, La.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014, 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at the church. Memorials may be donated to Wesley United Methodist Church of DeRidder, Louisiana Methodist Children's Home or the Children's Ministry of First United Methodist Church of DeRidder.
