Anna Ronne Obituary

Anna K. Ronne

Mormor and Farmor

A heart full of kindness was stilled on March 2, 2023, but the impression Anna K. Ronne left on all who knew her goes on for eternity.

Anna was born on a beautiful spring morning, April 24, 1928 in Styding, Denmark, to Luka Kovaltsenko and Johanne Cathrine Svarrer. Anna had a wonderful childhood with her three brothers - Anton, Peter, and Fritz - and sister, Gerda, all of whom she loved very much. Anna immigrated to the United States in 1954, first living in New York and then moving to Utah. She was proud to become an American citizen.

Anna married her sweetheart, Werner S. Ronne on June 10, 1955 in the Salt Lake Temple. He was the love of her life and they shared over 50 years together. Anna and Werner had a family of four children and later six grandchildren. She deeply cherished her family and gave them a warm home, filled with love. Anna was a kind, compassionate, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She had so much wisdom and appreciation for the beautiful things in life, from her spring flowers to the birds in her yard. She was an avid reader, always with a book, magazine, or newspaper within arms reach.

Anna was active in the PTA and a regular volunteer at local elementary schools. She also served as a voting registration agent for several years. She was very skilled at handiwork and she made the best Danish Christmas cookies. Everywhere Anna went, she made friends and inspired people. She always remembered birthdays, holidays, and other special occasions, sending notes in her beautiful handwriting to all she loved. She was a true blessing to the world and everyone she met.

Anna was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in several roles, including as a member of the genealogical committee, a Beehive teacher, member of the MIA stake board, Relief Society counselor, Stake Relief Society board member, and visiting teacher. She regularly attended the temple and cherished her time there.

She is incredibly loved and missed.

Anna is survived by her four children - JoAnn (Bill), Alice (John), Allan (Sharon), and Linda - five grandchildren - Brooke, Kelli, Brandon, Melissa, and Breanna - and one great-grandchild, Maggie. She is preceded in death by her parents, four siblings, her sweetheart Werner, and two grandchildren, Brad and Holly.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 18 at 10 a.m. at Wasatch Lawn, 3401 S. Highland Drive. A visitation will be held Friday, March 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn and also from 9 to 9:45 a.m. on Saturday prior to funeral services.

Anna was always gracious and kind to me and welcomed me in her home on many occasions. We were neighbors for 17 years until 2019. I always admired how she cared for her Granddaughter Brooke, and how she and Werner loved each other. I will see you again Anna!!
