Annette Patterson, age 86, of Kearns, UT, passed away peacefully at Rocky Mountain Care - Hunter Hollow in West Valley City, UT, on January 7, 2022
The youngest of 10, Annette was born on June 10, 1935 to James and Mary Smith in Bethal, UT. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers and sisters, her husband, Jack Patterson, and her son Brad Overson.
She is survived by her children: Mark (Carol) Overson, Russell Overson, Paul Overson, and Bonnie (Ron) Colby, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Annette was fiercely devoted to her large family and her many friends. She was a loving mother and grandmother and became "grandma" to everyone she met in her later life. She will be greatly missed and will forever be remembered for her beautiful smile, feisty personality, caring heart and unconditional love. Although our hearts are heavy, her life will be celebrated. We find comfort knowing she left the world a better place and she is now free from the frustration of a body that refused to cooperate with her strong will any longer. We can find comfort in the belief she is in a better place watching over all of us.
Family and friends can gather at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home, 4760 S State St, on Wednesday, January 12th for a viewing from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m., followed by a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. at Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 South Redwood Road.
