Ben F. Waterfield Jr.

Ben F. Waterfield, Jr. 1920-2007 Ben F. Waterfield age 87 died November 12, 2007 in Salt Lake City, Utah.Born August 21, 1920 in Elk River Minnesota to Ben F. and Noma Smith Waterfield. Married Zola Korth April 29, 1950. Graduated East High School and spent two years at the University of Utah interrupted by three and one-half years in the Army Air Corps. Served with 422nd Night Fighter Squadron in England, France and Belgium. Severly wounded December 26th 1944 in the Battle of the Bulge. Worked for Chevron-Texaco for 42 years, retiring October 1, 1984. He and Zola loved to travel and saw most of the United States and numerous countries abroad. Ben was a member of the D.A.V. Survived by son, Craig, grandson, Shane, granddaughter, Alisha, great-grandaughters, Ashlee and Sierra. Preceded in death by parents and wife, Zola. There will be a viewing on Friday Nov. 16th from 10-11 a.m. at Evans and Early Mortuary. 574 E. 100 S., Salt Lake City, UT. Graveside Service to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Shriner's Hospital for Children.
