Bennie B. Killpack, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away May 4, 2012, at the age of 84. Born July 6, 1927, in Ferron, Utah, the seventh of eight sons born to Eva Williams and Llewellyn Killpack, he graduated from South Emery High School in 1945, then enlisted in the Navy and served in the South Pacific. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1949 and attended graduate school at the University of Utah. He never wavered in his faith and served as a Bishop and in many other leadership positions in the LDS Church. After retiring from public education, he and his wife operated a successful real estate business in Emery County, Utah.
Kindness, humor and friendship were his hallmarks. Stories and jokes were his specialty. His life was one of devotion to his family, his church and his community. He was truly loved by all who knew him and will be missed beyond measure.

I remember Bishop Killpack with fondness. He was not one to judge and he always made me feel welcome. So much so, that I asked him to officiate my wedding. He was a wonderful man and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Imagine the reunion being held on the other side. Condolences to his family.
