Bette Bliss Tidwell Chapman, the youngest of six daughters, was born to Walter Raymond and Ivie Claire Allred Tidwell in Eureka, Utah. Bette attended Granite High School and married her high school sweetheart, David B. Chapman, who preceded her in death. She was a devoted wife and mother of four children who adored her.
Bette had a career in banking. She was a member of Credit Women International, serving a term as president of the organization. Bette was a lovely and loving person who welcomed adventure. She loved to travel, hike, dance, yoga, exercise, garden and read. She loved her family and delighted in her grand and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed lasting friendships and made friends wherever she went. Bette selflessly served and cared for others for much of her life.
She leaves behind her children, Robyn (Gary) Jensen, Julie (Dennis) Watson, Casey (Paula) Chapman, Cindy (Ernie Lee) Myers; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews and many friends and grand-dogs.
Much appreciation to the staff of Care Source Hospice for the quality care she received. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Bette's memory to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Memorial services will be on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street, Murray.
