Brendan Seal Obituary

1965 ~ 2017
Brendan Jack Seal, 51, passed away unexpectedly the morning of April 12, 2017. He was born on a snowy morning in Salt Lake City, Utah on September 16, 1965. Brendan's birth was the beginning of a wonderful family of six brothers and one sister. He married Nicole O'Brien, in Salt Lake City, Utah, on April 5, 1995. They met at a Youth Singles Halloween Dance where he and Brian Harrington had just come from work. Brendan had just finished working at the jet center and reeked of jet fuel, but that did not deter Nicole's interest in this handsome, funny guy with a great smile.
Brendan and Nicole's marriage was later solemnized in the Timpanogos LDS Temple.
Brendan grew up in Holladay, Utah where he attended Meadow Moor Elementary, Bonneville Jr. High and Cottonwood High School. He paved the way for his brothers and sister, and the shenanigans that would follow. Friendships garnered in his youth have carried throughout his life, and will not be diminished by his passing.
Brendan continued his education and attended Dixie College and the University of Utah.
Following in his Dad's footsteps, he was gifted with the ability to fix anything, be it a toaster or a Chevy big block engine. Nicole could depend on him to fix anything!
One of Brendan's greatest accomplishments, other than his family, was the day he earned his Contractors license. He built several beautiful custom homes in Salt Lake and St. George, Utah. His most recent home was featured in the St. George Parade of Homes this past February.
Brendan loved Evel Knievel and growing up he and the 'hood' jumped garbage cans daily on South Moor Drive to emulate his hero. From this time grew his great love of riding the open roads on his Harley!! You could find him any Saturday cruising through Snow Canyon and not finding his way home until dark.
Brendan loved his family unconditionally, they were his greatest joy.
Brendan is survived by his wife Nicole and their three beautiful children, Brendan Cole Kamakana Aloha (16), Kamen James Kaimana (10), and Shae Nicole Kamalani (6). Brendan is also survived by his parents, Jack and Lolly, his 5 brothers: Chad, Jeff (Rae), Gavin (Heather), Trevor (Annie), Scott (Liz), and his sister Laurie Coles.
He was preceded in death by his Grandparents and by his brother-in-law, Jason Coles. He also leaves behind many young nieces and nephews who will miss their 'Uncle B' terribly! They all loved him beyond measure, and will miss his wonderful big hugs!
Brendan's unexpected death has broken our hearts, but we know that we will see him again and feel his arms around us. We will treasure his memory and keep him in our hearts forever.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Santa Clara 16th Ward Chapel, 3815 Rachel Dr., Santa Clara, UT. I am so sorry to hear of Brandon's passing. I grew up across the street from Brandon on South Moor Drive. It was on our front lawn that we built the ramp for our bikes and used all the neighbors garbage cans to jump over. We would go up to the top of the street by highland drive and get as much speed as we could before we hit the ramp. After you landed you had to stop really quick or risk running right through the hedge on the border of our yard "which did happen a few times". I loved growing up there. I loved all his brother too especially Gavin. I remember Gavin had braces on his legs when he was little and he would fall down a lot. But he would just laugh and get right back up. Such a wonderful family. I give you my condolences and pray God will comfort you and help you to always remember the cherished memories of a life well lived.

God Bless

Brendan came to a Yamas Controls office party at a park in Salt Lake City, and we brought baseballs and bats. He hit the ball a mile high, and a mile long. I think he was holding back. He pestered Rick Pearson, a Yamas employee, while driving, by riding his tail, and flashing lights for several miles. It was all a big joke. Nicole was our front desk personality at Yamas for many years. Jill was there for a time also. We loved it when Bee (Beaner) came to the office, as we could see how much Brendan and Nicole loved each other. Nicole and I always had fun at the office. I wish Nicole and her children, and the Seal family all the best. So sorry a this time of great loss. This easter season must give you great hope for a happy reunion. Amiel.
