1948 ~ 2024
Brent Jay Francom, son of Angie Leora and Wayne LaVar, was born 21 May 1948 and moved on to greener pastures on April 20, 2024. He was beloved by Diane, Kelli, Eve, Kim, Jack, Jayson, Matt, and Nick; four grandsons, Jaxon, Konner, Eddie, and Liam, as well as his siblings and their spouses, Joan (Tom), LaVar (Betty), Kaylene (Jim), Geri, Dennis (Carolyn), and Janet (David), and many nieces and nephews.
He was ever grateful for his upbringing in a small town and all that he learned on the family farm. From an early age he yearned to follow the example of his older brother to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and cherished the time he spent in Uruguay and Paraguay. The seeds were planted to continue to travel and he loved going to new places and meeting new people. He was very generous as a small business owner of Francom Auto Parts in Tremonton, Utah, to any and every kid and organization that asked for support. He served on many boards and in various capacities whenever he was asked. He was a true Renaissance man, loving and appreciating, observing and participating in the arts and sports, always enjoying watching, coaching, bragging about and cheering on his children in whatever they were doing.
He and Diane moved to palm trees and warmer climate in Arizona and he was thrilled to be able to participate in softball again, although briefly, with thanks to patient friends and Jayson's mitt and bat. They enjoyed the last few summers in Logan, Utah, as ambassadors for the Utah State University Summer Citizens program. He chose to be buried in Deweyville, Utah, overlooking the ballpark and valley.
