Brigitte Wing Obituary
Brigitte Mayer Wing was reunited with her loving husband Harold "Hal" and their daughter Brigitte Lynn on May 21, 2016 while surrounded by her loving family. Brigitte was truly a compassionate person, who always took others feelings and needs into consideration, she had great respect for all. Over the past three and half years Brigitte has suffered from loneliness and a broken heart.
Brigitte was born on October 1, 1940 in Stuttgart Germany to parents Robert and Hildegard Mayer including siblings, Wolfgang, Sieger, Jürgen, Inge and Helga.
While working as the secretary for the Burgermeister she met and fell in love with Hal, who at the time was stationed in Heilbronn, Germany with the US Army. She followed her sweetheart to his hometown of Springville, Utah, where they raised seven children. Brigitte was a devoted wife, mother, Oma and Uroma. Brigitte was a sharp business woman and philanthropist who alongside Hal built successful businesses.
Brigitte served two German speaking LDS missions together with her husband and fulfilled many other church callings.
Brigitte was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was hardworking, thrifty and yet generous to a fault. She truly had an amazing quiet grace and charm about her.
Brigitte's legacy includes her children, spouses, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Spring Creek Stake Center 350 N. 400 E. Springville, UT. A reception for friends and family to pay tribute will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Wheeler Mortuary 211 E. 200 S. Springville, UT. from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Many years ago I met Brigitte while we lived in Germany. She was a beautiful role model to many of us who were young wives and mothers. I still remember little things I learned from her. I am grateful for her example...it truly had an impact on my life.

Dear Wing family,
We are so sorry for your loss. We love your mom and dad! They did so much for our family and parents. Brigitte is my moms very best friend in the whole wide world and we share your pain. We will always be grateful for the example and life lessons we have learned from your parents. We know of so many "Anonymous" gifts of charity they have provided for people in need. Their life lessons will live on forever by anyone that has ever met them. We love you!
