Bela,
He loved you so,much pá.Sometimes I told him that was not love, was addiction. You 2 went separate ways, but..., Ele amava tanto tu como as vossas filhas. A tua mãe disse que ele recasou. È pá tenho pena da familia nova dele. But, think, that how great it is to love 2 familias at the same time. Because, knowing him, I know he always will love you ans you two girls. And the new family.Come to see us. We know that you are devasteted, and the girls too. You need your friend now. Come visitar. My English is not very good, e eu não sei if I have to write in Português ou Inglês.
Força e beijos. From all of us at the hospital where you both worked and untill today are so special to us.
Your friends forever,
O pessoal do Curry

Deanne,
I was deeply saddened to hear of the loss of your husband. You are a wonderful person. Your children will help you get through this healing time in your life with their smiles and laughter. Your surrogate family from Hoyt sends their sympathies and love.
A big hug,

My Dear Bella, Sara & Jessica,
I couldn’t believe when I heard of Carlos. I had to look up on the Internet. I enjoyed meeting him at Jessica’s Baptism in Maryland with all of you. I knew your family, since you two were married. And after that, always amazed me that you both remained such great friends. I was very happy to see him joking with you all the time with those "Portuguese jokes”. He did care for you and was a great father. I don't know his new family, but I am very sorry for them as well. I pray that you all will find peace in your hearts. My love, and sorrow goes to you Bella, Sara, Jessica and his new family.
Love,
Doc

My favorite Sister Olsen, I am so sorry. I wish I could be there for you more than i am but please know that i love you so much and am praying for you and your kids during this difficult time. Carlos is a great person. He was Bispo in my first area as a missionary, as you may or may not know. I loved him then and although many years have passed, i cherish knowing him on this earth. I love you so much and hope and pray that you will be comforted in any way that you need. Tcheu Amor, Lisa (Sister Rogers)

Carlos will always be missed. He did brick work on my house and was always a joy to be around. He later started working with my friends father on brick jobs for him. You would always see a smile on his face and made the people around him joyful.

Deanne, there are really no words adequate to express to you our sorrow. Our hearts and prayers go out to you at this time. May you find comfort and strength in the love that surrounds you, including that of your wonderful husband, Carlos. Our time in this life is really very short when we know that we will have all eternity together.
