Orem, UT - Colin Warren Skinner, 90, beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend peacefully passed away October 7, 2025, in Orem, Utah. Born in Logan, Utah on January 17, 1935, he graduated from high school in India, served as a missionary in the Great Lakes Mission, and earned his engineering physics degree from Montana State College in Bozeman. Colin worked as an engineer throughout his career, earning at least two patents for his innovations. He lived in both California and Utah with his wife and family, and was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving faithfully in numerous callings.
Preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years of marriage, Shirley Mae Ryan Skinner (2016), his parents Halver Morgan Skinner (1997) and Violet Marie Steffenhagen Skinner (1985), as well as two sisters, Jeanine LaRae Skinner Davidson (2022) and Rhonda Ann Skinner Biggs (1983). Survived by his wife Charlotte Carolee Wolfley-Skinner, whom he married in 2020, his children Todd (Kathleen) Skinner, Tracy (John) Joost, Teresa (Del) Craig, Trent (Cristina) Skinner, Timothy Ryan (Amy) Skinner, his step-children Spencer (Emily) Wolfley, Charlynn (Michael) Chambers, his siblings Roger (Afton) Skinner, Kathryn (Tito) Frutos, 14 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 25, at 11 a.m. at the LDS Church located at 450 E 2000 N, Orem. A visitation will be held one hour prior. Interment, Riverton City Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Humanitarian Fund (www.ldsphilanthropies.org).
