Colleen Hickman Obituary

Colleen H Hickman
1944 - 2014
Colleen Hansen Hickman passed away peacefully at her home in Sandy, UT on November 15, 2014, following a long battle with cancer. She was born July 25, 1944 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Lorin Hansen and Wanda Williams. She married Thomas Lee Hickman on October 5, 1963, later solemnized in the Logan Temple. She loved being with her family, serving others, and was kind and generous to all. She had a great love for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She strived to live the life of a disciple, and enjoyed sharing her knowledge with others. One of her greatest joys was starting Candlelight Formal Wear. She worked very hard to provide stylish and modest prom and wedding dresses.
She is survived by her children, Tamara Arbon; Tanya Burgoyne (Richard); Thomas Hickman Jr. (Sherri); Troy Hickman (Erin); Christina Ottley (Darren); fifteen grandchildren; six brothers; and one sister. She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Lee Hickman, her parents, and brother, James Mollerup.
Funeral services will be held Saturday November 22, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the Mount Jordan 4th Ward 235 E. Sego Lily Dr. (9800 So.) Sandy. Friends may call Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 So. Sandy, and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens. My thoughts have often turned to the years when all of the cousins were young and we spent some great times together. Colleen was a special sister-in-law and made our time together fun. You were all blessed to have such a kind, supportive mother. The things she taught you will always be with you, so enjoy the memories and remember how much love so many people had for all of you.
