Daniel Anderson Obituary
Oak City, UT-Daniel Dean Anderson, 57, passed away March 1, 2016 in Murray, UT from complications of the H1N1 virus. Born May 5, 1958 in Fillmore, UT to Dean Eldon and Aneita June Harvey Anderson. Raised on a farm and ranch, he learned from an early age to work hard and help provide for the family. Attended schools in Oak City and Delta. Graduated from BYU in Agricultural Economics, then returned home to Oak City to farm and ranch.
Married Sherilyn Tilley in 1982 in the Jordan River Temple. They raised four children. Lifelong farmer and rancher and found great enjoyment and satisfaction caring for the land and livestock. Faithful member of the LDS Church and served in many capacities including serving in the Quito and Guayaquil Ecuador missions, Bishop, YSA Branch President, Young Mens President, and Ward Mission Leader. Was very active civically serving on the Millard County School Board, Western Ag Credit Board, and Farm Bureau. He and Sherilyn instilled in their posterity the love of the gospel and service to others by the way they lived. The world is a better place for his having lived in it. He will be greatly missed.
Survived by wife: Sherilyn; children: Matthew (Corinne), Oak City; McKay (Dani), Rexburg, ID; Michelle, Murray; Mason, Oak City; brothers: Gordon (Jackie), Ardean (Janet), Bruce (Sharla); 7 grandchildren.
Funeral: Saturday, March 5, at 11 a.m. at Oak City LDS Chapel, 35 E. Center St. Viewings: Friday, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Oak City LDS Church; and Saturday, 9:00-10:30 a.m. prior to services. Burial in the Oak City Cemetery. Online condolences at www.nicklemortuary.com. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the General Missionary Fund.

We were deeply shocked and saddened at hearing the news of Danny. I have gotten to know him through the Utah Cattlemen's Association. What a great guy. "Cream of the crop" as they would say. Dear Sister Anderson and Family: I served as an assistant in the Quito and Gye missions with Elder Anderson. He truly was one of the most amazing missionaries and individuals I have ever known. He optimism and enthusiasm for the work and the Lord were infectious. May the Lord bless you. We truly were all better for having known Elder Anderson.
