Daniel was my dad's cousin (Vernon Pollard) and my grandmother (Dagmar Carlsen Pollard) nephew.
I would love to connect with family here. I remember my dad's cousin Maggie & my great aunt Alma & uncle Max.
My son lives on Downington St not far from the 1140 Princeton Ave SLC address. I currently live in Mesa, Arizona but visit my son frequently.

Dear Aunt Ola and family,

While I understand there is nothing words can do to lessen your loss, like all the rest, because of my love for all of you and for Uncle Dan, I offer my heart felt sympathy at this time. The memories I have of him long ago became an integral part of who I am. He will be missed. I especially loved his laugh and he way his eyes twinkled when he smiled. I know he would hate the word 'twinkle' but that is exactly what they did! He was such a huge Redskins fan I was convinced, probably by him when I was a kid, he had played for them at one time. I just learned a few years ago he didn't. So to all my friends I've told that to for years...too bad! He should have...he would have kicked serious butt!

Ray Hubbard and family.

Dear Ola and family, death is one of those changes we experience in this life and while I am confident that Dan is in a better place now (perhaps even running a marathon) and happy. It is left to us to adjust to the loss of his bright spirit in each of our lifes. If there is anything we can do for any of you please do not hesitate to let us know, for your Draper 8th Ward family, Bishop Gary Rhay

To my father,
I just wanted to tell how much I love you and how lucky I feel to have had you for a dad. You have taught me so much through out my life. You were always there for me no matter what time it was, day or night and I want to thank you. I will miss chatting with you and laughing with you over some stupid joke that I couldn't remember the punch line to. Thank you for all those late night cookies. This opens up a new chapter for us all and I hope you're having a ball. Until we meet again.
I love-a love-a you daddy!
Laura xoxo

Dear Ola and Family,
I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Dan. He has been a great fighter during his life. I remember the day of him receiving burns from his truck and he showed us how strong he could be. The memories he has given you will help you make it through this tough time.

Ola, I have tried to locate you since the day I saw you at Monte's viewing. I do know that personal hugs and family can help you through the days ahead. I cannot be there personally for you because I am in CA but my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Please contact me. 801-680-1965 or [email protected].

Dear Aunt Ola and Family. We are sorry for your lost. It's been a while since you have lived in the house in West Valley but my parents and I still talk about the boys being in there football uniforms or when one of the boys (no names mentioned) tried to jump the picnic table. Dan was a good person who loved his family and loved to "chat" he had that deep voice that got everyone's attention.

Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you always.
Love, Wayne, Kitty, Ben, Meghan and Josh Martinez

I've spent quite some time over the past day thinking about all of the fun we've shared together. Pepsi, 2am phone calls for Canasta, Redskins, karaoke tapes for Christmas with only one Christmas song on it, "Baby It's Cold Outside", the big race between my mom and Uncle Dan on the lawn at Three Fountains, never-ending-Uncle-Dan-projects and "What color are..." (you know what I mean Auntie). I could go on and on. I adore you Aunt Ola and you know how much I love Uncle Danny. I love all of you. I am thinking of you and will do anything y'all need. My prayers are with you.
Love, Sue
