Daniel James Sullivan jumped on his spirit Harley and took the great ride home on Sunday, January 23, 2022.

He was born December 30, 1963 in Salt Lake City, Utah to his wonderful parents, Michael King Sullivan Sr. and Carol LaVon Atkinson Sullivan. If ever there was a man who loved motorcycles, it was Dan! He loved to ride fast and have the wind blow his long hair. He would say, "A ride always makes you feel better!"

He enjoyed tinkering in his shop on classic Triumphs and Kawasaki dirt bikes. He loved his gorgeous Harley and him and his wife often rode through the canyons and all around Salt Lake City. He was never happier than when he was riding with her because he had both of his loves with him.

Dan was a gentle giant of a man. He was soft spoken, kind, deep, smart and had a great sense of humor. He is a good soul with an infectious laugh and enjoyed teasing everyone.

While attending Olympus High School, he began working full time at Applied Geophysics. He then worked at Transmission Exchange for six years, followed by a fifteen year position at THB Bolt and Nut. The last two years he was employed by Bemsco Inc. until he became too ill to work. Throughout his career he loved the people he worked with.

Dan had a love for life, classic rock, classic art, classic motorcycles and spending time with his family and friends. He adored his granddaughter, stepson, daughter-in-law, brother, sister and their children.

He is survived by his loving wife Linda, stepson Dallas Block (Bri), granddaughter Lena, his close brother Mike Sullivan Jr. (Denise), sweet sister Kathy (Bruce) Pitts, sister-in-law Becky and twenty five awesome nieces and nephews, including Mike's children; Shawn Michael (Emi) Sullivan, Emily (Trent) Vail, Denise's children; Dylan (Kristy) Wilcox and Kathy's children; Jacob, Sophia and Isaiah Pitts.

The last eighteen months of Dan's life he valiantly fought cancer and other illnesses. He was always positive and never complained about anything.

Our favorite memories of Dan will live on forever. His life was a beautiful ride.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 4, 2022 with a viewing prior to the service from 12:00-12:45 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, Murray, Utah.

Interment Murray City Cemetery.
