Bountiful, Utah-Darlene Tracy Linford, 74, our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away quietly on Saturday, January 31, 2015.
Darlene was born on March 31, 1940 to Herbert R. and Ila M. Stocking Tracy in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She also lived in Hawthorne, Nevada, and spent her growing up years in Salt Lake City, Utah.
On October 16, 1959, Darlene married her sweetheart, Frank Fullmer Linford in the Salt Lake Temple. They resided in Bountiful, Utah where they raised two children that they were extremely proud of. Darlene had many friends. Wherever she was living, friends gathered around her. She endured serious illness for many years.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Darlene had a deep, abiding love for her Savior and tried to follow Him. She loved reading the scriptures and going to the temple. She served in many callings, and her favorite was serving the children in the Bountiful 16th Ward. She spent many hours serving others until she became ill.
Darlene is survived by her loving husband, Frank, children Susan and Steven (Melanie), one brother, Herbert Tracy (Barbara), three grandchildren; Christopher Jacob Linford, Kilee Brianne Loveridge (Neil), Kolby David Linford (Guatemala City South Mission) and one great-granddaughter, Olivia Kate Loveridge. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Richard Fred Tracy, Michael Evan Tracy and her sister Nancy Dee Tracy Wixom.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, February 5, 2015 at the Bountiful 16th Ward chapel, 720 E. 550 N. Friends may visit family, Wednesday February 4th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. and Thursday, from 9:45 - 10:45 am at the Church prior to services. Interment Bountiful City Cemetery.
