I had the honor of assisting David at the hospital on many occasions with his pulmonary illness. I was always impressed with him and his positive outlook on life, regardless of his circumstances. He also had a quick wit which I loved to hear. The optimism he had emanated from his smile and demeanor. He was a kind and caring person and is greatly missed.

Although i only knew Dave for a few years as a member if the VRI Board. He beacame a friend and someone who always looked out for members and made an impact on the board. He had a great sense of humor and was a very compassionate and caring person. I and the board will miss him very much.

I was saddened to hear of Dave's passing...much too young. We grew up next door to each other on 2000 West in Roy, Utah. Dave was also a Fraternity Brother in Pi Kappa Alpha from the chapter at Utah State U. with me being a Utah Ute. Although we didn't agree on much in recent years, it was always interesting to get Dave's take on things. He will, obviously, be missed by many.

So sorry to hear of the great loss to the Racker family..... Karen and I always enjoyed our few opportunities over the years to bond with your family and appreciated the warm hospitality within the Racker home. Always new that Dave would keep the conversation interesting, he will be missed by all.

I met David too late in his life to have any measurable impact on him. He however, impacted my life and career greatly. I learned more from him about being a good Landscape Architect than in any other period of my career. I also loved talking about LDS Church History with him. He loved his wife and family, and honored the Priesthood that he bore and was a great friend. I'm grateful that I was able to see him last week when I was in SLC.

Dave, I will miss you. But I am so grateful that you raised my best friend to be the woman that she is. You were an ornery spirit after my own heart. Love ya,

Dave's brother Stan and I worked together for many years. I met Dave while working on a home project for Stan. He was a delight to work with and I have the greatest esteem for the Racker family. Knowing Stan and meeting members of the family like Dave has been one of the joys of my life. God bless to all the family in this time of dear loss.

Racker Family,
My thoughts and prayers go out to each of you at this difficult time. As I spoke with my mother about her memories of your family we both had nothing but good things to remember and share. How enjoyable the many soccer tournaments and games were that we traveled to and played in over the years. And how can I ever forget "Bomber"? You know who you are. I hope this brings a smile to your face in spite of the difficulties you are facing right now.
Sincerely,
Jason A. Child
