How I loved to here him play the organ in church. The absolute favorite of the Goaslind family was "The Holy City" piano/organ duet he played every Christmas with Lynette Dale. No one plays it they way they did. Every time I came to visit Imperial II, Dave and Maxine were always happy to see me and ask how I and my family were doing. Thanks for the memories.

We consider it great fortune and a blessing for our acquaintance with David and Maxine Record. David is a beautiful soul, a consummate Husband and Father, honest, kind, a hard worker beyond comparison, a tremendous musician with a love for sacred music, and singularly devoted to our Heavenly Father, his dear Wife, and their family. Solemn and sincere condolences to the Record family, and a full heart of gratitude for his friendship with us, and deserved praise for a life so very well lived. May God bless David, Maxine and all their family. Salutations and Love.

My Uncle David L. Record was a fundamental part of my life and positive inspiration even when years passed without seeing him in person. I was able to enjoy playing music in Junior High School because he generously let me borrow his trumpet. No one knew the value of music better than Uncle David.

I owe so much to Dave Record. He was always a true friend to the Olsen family and of course to the Imperial II Ward. A lot of my appreciation for fine musicianship and moving music came from his masterful organ playing. Especially memorable were his duets with Lynette Dale. Even as a child, I would come alive in meetings if the two of them were playing. What a joy it is now to think of him accompanying heavenly choirs.

Uncle David was a fantastic musician and it was he who first taught me to play the piano when I was eight years old and even though I do not play much to this day, I have always had a love for music, thanks to Uncle David. I always loved to come to Salt Lake City to visit Uncle David and Aunt Maxine. I'm sorry that I will not be there for the memorial service. My love to all the family.
