Throughout his school career he was involved in music programs, singing and playing trumpet and several athletic teams. After graduation from Jordan High School in 1952, he married his high school sweetheart Maryellen Sjoblom, of Draper, Utah 10 June 1952 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

While working with JCPenny in Salt Lake, Don was promoted to assistant manager of the St Anthony, ID store, which launched his career into Men's Fashion. A upon leaving Idaho and many friendships that have lasted a lifetime, Don accepted a position as asst. manager of Bud's Duds in the Cottonwood Mall. The "Spa" is now known as the Cottonwood Heights Parks and Recreation Center. After the formation of the Rec Center, Don was elected and served many years on the Rec Center Council and a Councilman for the City of Cottonwood Heights.

Don was very active in his church service and was always willing to step in and help with any project. He served in several positions including as the Bishop of the Butler 2nd ward for almost 10 years. (Currently the Cottonwood Heights 1st Ward) After retirement he remained active in his church service and community activities, including the incorporation of the city Cottonwood Heights. We remember Mr. Antczak as the crossing guard at Bella Vista Elementary. He was there every day, rain or shine, with a smile on his face. My children would run over to him just to say hello. He made every child feel important. He quietly made an enormous impact on those around him. He is missed!

Don was the friendliest crossing guard at Bella Vista! He would wave and smile every day. He had little treats for the kids on Halloween and on the last day of school. He really was a great man! We love Don!

I always remember Don as a man of kindness and service. A man who respected people as who they are and for their potential.
Prayers of peace and comfort for all the Antczak family - you are a living legacy set by a wonderful man.
Much love.

Don was a tremendous example of service and loyalty. He was our "home teacher" for many years and we looked forward to hearing his adventurous and faith-promoting stories. He encouraged Kendra to be on the first Arts Council for the newest city of Cottonwood Heights. Don had insight for our wonderful community and we are grateful for all the hours he dedicated in making our world a better place to live. We loved his voice in the choir and in amazing solos. Anzak (Antczak) Park is one of our favorite places to share memories with neighbors and family. Thank you, Don for your life! Love, the Burton Family: Dave, Kendra, Steve, Andrea, Linda, Sarah and Rachel

Bud's Duds and Anzak's were two of the cool places to shop when I was young. Lots of junior high, high school and college clothing from both. Thanks for the great memories.
