Grantsville, UT—Don passed away peacefully at the age of 93 on April 28, 2021 at his home in Grantsville, Utah. He was born on April 11, 1928 to Sarah Ann Parker and Angelo George Takos in Eureka, Utah. He married Esther Marie Kueffner in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1949. They resided in Salt Lake City and later in Grantsville, Utah. He graduated from West High School. He worked at Hillfield, Auerbachs and Phillips Petroleum where he retired. His hobby was prospecting and mining.
Don is survived by daughter Dixie (Tex) Alldredge, and Kathy (Moyle) Peterson. He has five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Esther Kueffner Takos, son David Takos parents Sarah and Angelo Takos, and brothers Jim and George Takos.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123. Interment to follow.
