Enid Clegg Obituary
Enid Hansen Clegg passed away peacefully at Logan Regional Hospital on Aug. 17, 2012.
Enid was born Aug. 19, 1927, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to George Parley Hansen and Criesta Zenobia Anderson Hansen. Enid grew up on a farm and learned about perseverance and hard work at an early age, milking cows, raking hay, hoeing beets and picking potatoes.
Enid graduated from Ricks College in 1947 and also attended Utah State University. Enid began her successful career as a legal secretary in Dubois, Idaho, where she worked for George Barnard, the prosecuting attorney there. She continued to work for him when he joined the firm of Albaugh, Bloem & Hillman in Idaho Falls. 1954 marked her move to Salt Lake City, Utah, where she worked for other law firms. She was a loyal and dedicated employee, retiring at the age of 72 from the Dale Barton Insurance Agency. In 1972 Enid married Myrl Clegg, but they later divorced.
Enid was an active and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many different callings. Among her many interests and talents, Enid enjoyed ballroom dancing and taught dance briefly for the Arthur Murray studios. Enid volunteered for more than 10 years at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, in the snack bar and gift shop.
She was a devoted sister and loving aunt and took an active part in the lives of her brothers and sister and many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed traveling with family to Europe, Hawaii, New Zealand and Fiji.
Enid was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Duane and Burrell; and sister, Arleen.
She is survived by her brother Keith; and numerous nieces and nephews who love her and will miss her dearly.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at the Bridgerland Dialysis Facility for their care and support, and to Williamsburg Retirement Community in Logan, Utah, for their love and friendship.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at the Wood Funeral Home East Side Chapel, 963 S. Ammon Road, Idaho Falls, Idaho. Friends and family may call from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Interment will be at the Ammon City Cemetery.

Enid's mother, my Aunt Zenobia and my father, Reed Anderson are sister and brother. It is sad that we haven't stayed in touch as cousins. I have wonderful memories of family reunions growing up with the Anderson family in Ammon, Idaho. I am thankful I saw this online and send my love to her family!

I worked with Enid at McMillan & Browning in the 70's when I was a young newlywed. I will always remember her kindness and patience with me as I learned from her. I have thought of Enid many times over the years and wondered how she was doing. I am glad to hear of the love of family she enjoyed and the influence for good she had. I will always have fond memories of Enid.

Enid and I both knew how to be sisters. As changes occurred in both our lives, our love and friendship for each other remained.

Aunt Enid did not always have things easy, but she was a wonderful example to me in her viewpoint on life. She took care of many of her loved ones in their turns to death. I am grateful to my sister Tracey for helping Enid with hers, and all the other relatives and loved ones who sat by her bedside. I will miss our phone calls and exchanges of birthday and holiday cards. Much love for Enid is still on this side, even though she is finally with most of her close family on the other.

I, too, had the pleasure of knowing Enid while I worked at Pioneer Valley Lodge. She was gracious, sweet, and always so pleasant. The world has lost a grand woman but heaven is welcoming her home. My love and sympathy to her family.

I've known my Aunt Enid my entire life and will always treasure my memories of her. I'm so glad I was able to be in Logan earlier this summer and spend some last happy times with her.
