"Flo"
Florence Wright Dye completed her life of work and love for others April 17, 2016. Born in Twin Falls, Idaho on June 12, 1932; the daughter of Sherman Thornton Wright and La Rue Brown. Florence and Alfred G. Dye first met in California. They were married in 1951 in the Salt Lake Temple. She first lived in Texas as an Air Force officer's wife. She and her husband later moved to Holladay, Utah where their family of six was raised. Always active in the LDS Church, she served as teacher, Primary President, Relief Society Counselor, and Family History worker. Her whole life was devoted to her family, never giving up on ensuring success and happiness for them all.
She is survived by her husband and children: Marc (Michelle), Jeannie, Carol (Paul) Tezak, James (Debbie), Marian (Scott) Andersen, and Sheri. Florence "Flo" and "Al" were married 64 years and have 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Friday, April 22, 2016, at 1 PM in the Cottonwood 6th Ward, 4930 S. West Moor Road in Holladay. A viewing will be at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, Murray, Thursday evening from 6 to 8 PM and one hour prior to services on Friday at the church. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.

To Al and Family,
I'm so sorry for the loss of your wife and mother. Florence was an awesome woman. She was a cousin of mine but unfortunately we were not able to spend much time getting to know one another. I remember the few times we were able to get together with Uncle Sherm and Grandma and Dad. They were pretty special visits. I was trying to get to the viewing last night but spent the day ill and I have children coming and a wedding of my nephew today. I am keeping your family in my prayers. Love to you all. Thank you for being such a magnificent teacher, even to the end. Learning at your side has been an honor and a privilege. The numerous hours of listening to your stories and sharing in the vast understanding that you have have been a joy to my heart.
I will miss the discussions we had on any subject that came to our minds. I will miss the research and pondering of impressions important to us both, but most of all I will miss your warm hands and pure heart.
Of all the great gifts you possess, your love of the Savior and our Heavenly Father is the greatest. I love you.
