Frances Barber Obituary

Frances V. Barber 1921 ~ 2003   Frances Vivian Barber, 82, of Fruit Heights, Utah died September 13, 2003 of Multiple Myeloma.  She was born August 29, 1921 to Frank and Grace Bedsaul.  She married Fay A. Barber in January 1948 and they lived most of their married lives in Layton and Fruit Heights, Utah.  Fay died in 1978.  Frances was employed for over 30 years at Hill Air Force Base and made many friends that she kept in touch with throughout her retirement.  She spent her retirement years traveling and enjoying her flower gardens and working in her yard.    She was preceded in death by her father and mother, two brothers and her husband, Fay.  Survived by her sister Joy Bedsaul of St. George, Utah; her daughter, Vicki (Kent) Rainey, grandson, Tyler (Jennifer) Rainey of Salt Lake City; and granddaughter, Candice Rainey of New York City, NY.  The family wishes to thank her longtime friends for all of their caring and support during her illness.  We would also like to thank her longtime friends, Robert Hill, Rex and Jean Sonnenfelt for their weekly trips and visits to Salt Lake to visit Frances, which meant so much to her during her final months.  The family also wishes to thank the nurses and aides at Evergreen Canyon who helped make her last few months more comfortable.  Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 20, 2003 at 11 a.m. at the Syracuse City Cemetery, 1751 So. 2000 W., Syracuse.  Funeral directors, Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.     e-mail condolences to the family at [email protected]
