GARY SARTAIN Obituary

Gary E. Sartain 2/7/1944 ~ 8/7/2009 Gary E. Sartain passed away on Aug. 7, 2009, in Salt Lake City, UT. He was born on February 7, 1944, in Rupert, Idaho to Margaret and Vernon Sartain. Gary loved reading, coin collecting, and videos of his dog, Missy. He graduated from ISU with an Associate's Degree in Auto Mechanics in 1970. He served in the US Navy from 1961-1963. He is survived by: sisters, Diane Carlisle, Kathleen Jolley and Sharon Enquist; brother Dean Sartain. Preceded in death by parents. A private family service will be held at a later date.

Gary was my older brother and I will miss him very much. He called often and I will miss our conversations. He was a good guy who didn't want others to know how nice he was. He once said about being kind to my daughter "Don't tell anyone I have a reputation to keep. s

I lived next to Gary for five years in the white house next to his trailer. He helped me move just three months ago. We shared many times talking and playing with the dogs. He was a good friend and a good person. He cared for Missy very much, I hope she finds a good home. Gary will be missed.
