Geraldine Bench Obituary

Geraldine Leavitt Bench "Together Again" Geraldine Leavitt Bench, 91, passed away July 6, 2009 due to natural causes.The daughter of Eldon H. and Sara Leavitt she was born and raised in Cornish, Utah. She married Thomas 'Lee' Leander Bench, their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. They lived in the Ogden area for over 70 years. Geraldine was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many positions. She was a member of the Daughter of the Utah Pioneers, camp 51. She worked at Swifts & Co., Continental Baking Co., and retired from Hill Air Force Base. She was a very loving person and always enjoyed being with her children, grandchildren and all her family. She is survived by her three children: Dee Ann (Jerry) Britton, Woods Cross; Tom (Nancy) Bench, Hooper; Dixie (Jim) Davis, West Valley City; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren and brother Jack Eldon Leavitt, Caldwell, ID. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 70 years, her parents and a sister. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Lindquist's Roy Mortuary, 3333 W. 5600 S. where friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. and 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Leavitt's Aultorest Memorial Park, Ogden, Utah. Condolences may be shared at www.lindquistmortuary.com
