Gus Royal Obituary
Logan, UT-Gus Royal, 81, of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away Thursday February 27, 2014. He was born to the late Mary Royal and Harry Royal Sr. , July 17th, 1932, in Hunter, Utah. He was married to Mary Ann Reay in 1963. They lived and raised their family in Salt Lake City.
Gus was an avid gardener. He also enjoyed playing games with friends at the senior center and with family just about anywhere. He had a penchant for bingo, pinochle, and poker. More than anything, though, he loved just spending time with family and making people smile. He particularly loved children, always carrying candy or dollar bills in his pocket as surprise gifts.
Gus served in the U.S. Army and retired from the Tooele Army Depot after 30 years.
Gus was preceded in death by his mother, father, three siblings, and a grandson.
Gus is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; daughter Sherri Housley and her spouse, Paul; daughter Cathy Orullian and her spouse, Peter; and grandchildren Ryan, Aaron, Shayden, Cheyenne, and Alex.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 5th at 11 a.m. Viewings will be held on Tuesday March 4th from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10-10:45 a.m. All services will be at Memorial Estates Mountain View, 3115 East 7800 South, SLC, UT.

Uncle Gus I miss you so much. I just have to say it one more time... " you are my favorite " :) you always made me smile and laugh with your infectious personality.
