Kenneth Marchant Obituary
June 6, 1931 ~ September 23, 2025
Kenneth T Marchant, 94, passed peacefully away on September 23, 2025. He was born June 6, 1931 in the Midvale area.
He graduated from Jordan High School, Go Beetdiggers! And on May 6th, 1954 he married his sweetheart Claudia JoAnne Thorn.
He was a welder/fabricator by trade, often working 2 jobs to provide for his family. After retirement he enjoyed designing and welding yard ornaments, doing word searches and puzzles. He had great faith in the Lord and Savior and loved serving in all his callings. He could always be found helping family, friends and neighbors with anything that needed to be done from fixing cars to houses. He did it all! He was a wonderful example of hard work, dedication, and service.
He had a great love for everyone in his family and we know he is happy to be reunited with those that have gone before.
Survived by children Dale (Kelly Thomas), Ruth Oliverson, Cathy (Stan Bohman), Patty (David Garce), Linda, and his sister Alice Lopez.
Grandchildren Patrick (Jessica), Adam, Spencer (Hilary), Angela Oliverson; Jason, Jon Eric, Bryce, Rochelle (Dan Fluckiger), Carissa (Chris) Johnson, and Cameron (Mackenzie) Bohman; Aaron and Anna Garce, Elizabeth (Nick) Johnson, Johnny (Amber) Morris.
Great Grandchildren Brayden, Whitney, Hadley, Caleb, Weston and Taysom Oliverson; James, Macy and Kylee Johnson; Addison, Claire, Ember and Lucas Fluckiger; Brody and Liam Johnson; Madeleine, Gabrielle, Molly and Jack Morris.
Predeceased by his parents Harvey Allison Marchant and Susan Elizabeth Thomas Marchant; son in law Kris Oliverson; siblings Larue and Lyman Crook, Merle Marchant, Ralph and Edith Marchant, Donald Marchant, Lola and Henry Visser, Connie and Max Bigler, David and Joan Marchant.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, October 4th at 9:30 am until 10:45 am at the Murray 26th Ward, 160 East 4600 South. Funeral at 11:00 in the same building. Interment, Sandy City Cemetery, 90th South 700 East.

Dear Marchant Family,
Please know of our Love for your father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. Prayers of Comfort and Healing and Love. We are happy to know he is back with opened arms to his family who greeted him back Home in Heaven. We know a great reunion is for sure going on. While we will Miss Ken we know he is well and whole again. I personally will Miss greeting him on our June 6th birthdays.

I will miss Ken every Thursday. He was a very good friend and fun to share lunch with and then work on jigsaw puzzles. He was Jerry's friend (my late husband) and then became a good friend to me. Ken was a really nice person and a good friend! Love you Ken, Zella Millard
