Dear Alecia and Jeppson Kids,

Mark and I are so sorry to hear that Kreg had passed away. We were out of town and did not return until after his funeral. We have tried to get in touch, but have been unable to get ahold of your address or phone number. We will always have fond memories of you two stopping by for a visit. When we told our kids about Kreg's death, Carter said, "You mean the guy that loved the Packers?" We feel so thankful to know your family. We love you, and would love to stop by.

Love, Mark & Jennifer Heslop

Dear Jeppson family,

I am deeply saddened to hear of Kreg's death. I am grateful for my knowledge of the plan of salvation and I know Kreg continues to go forth serving others, as he did in his life. I was priveledged to get to know Kreg and all of you as part of your ward. I also went to school with Nick and Marie. I will keep you in my prayers. Kreg was no ordinary man. He impacted my family with his love and understanding. I always felt comfortable around him and I'm grateful to have known him. We will all see him again. I know that your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ will continue to help you through this difficult time.

To the Family of Kreg: I worked with Kreg when he was a pathology resident at the U of U. He was always my favorite resident to work with. His sense of humor and fun personality made typing those autopsy reports a little less grim.I last saw Kreg when he was a Psychiatry resident. I will remember him always.

Sincerely and with Sympathy,

Marcia Reese

To Dr. Jeppson's Family:

Occasionally, I had the privilege of working with your husband and father here at Utah State Hospital. He is such a great person! Though he was a doctor---bright, educated, and skilled---he never let that get in the way of treating coworkers and associates as equals. He asked for and showed respect for the opinions of others. Once he asked for my help with a particular patient. I was so surprised when he came to my office, which is located in another building, just to thank me for my help. He is one of the most thoughtful, kind, and compassionate men I have ever met. His passing is a great loss to all of us at Utah State Hospital.

It is with a heavy heart that I read about Kreg passing. Kreg AKA "Tank" and I played many basketball games at Midvale Junior High School in Mr. Nichols gym class. Kreg was a good man and a good friend to me, truly a great loss. He always had a big smile for everyone and treated everyone with respect. Condolences from me and my brother Matt.

I have such great memories of Kreg. Especially on sundays when we would all go over to Grandpa and Grandma Jeppson's home. I was always so touched that Kreg would take time to play with the younger cousins and spend time with us. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Dear Jeppson Family,

It was so good to visit with Jan Friday at the viewing. Due to a church committment, I was sorry not to be able to see Trent, Mildred, and all. I am sorry for your loss. I have always had such admiration for your family and fond memories of growing up with Jan. I thought so much of Kreg.

Dear Jeppsons:

We are saddened at the loss of one who was so bright, talented, and kind. The Lord has certainly taken one of his choicest sons for a special purpose. Please accept our deepest sympathies at this

time!

Although it has been many years since our days gowing up in Midvale, I have many fond memories of Kreg as we participated in scout camps, church outings (Bear Lake and Palisades), and sports

together.

May the Lord bless and console you and your knowledge of eternal life sustain you at this time.

You are in our family's prayers.

Kreg is my cousin. I grew up spending many family get togethers with him. As we grew older, our paths grew farther a part. My wife told me that when I had my motorcycle accident last year. Many of my doctors did not think that I would make it. She also said that Kreg called the hospital every day to ask how I was doing.

He will be missed greatly and I know that he is in a great place and I will get to see him again.

Love ya Kreg,

Scott

Before my retirement in October of '03 I worked with Dr. Jeppson on the Forensic Unit of the USH as an LCSW. He took time to explain concepts of psychiatry to student interns and others assigned to our unit. He had deep compassion for patients and staff as well. He did many wonderful deeds for others without seeking accolades or credit. My condolences to his wife and extended family to whom he was devoted.

Dear Jeppson family,

We were deeply saddened to learn of Kreg's passing. He truly was born of "goodly parents." It was a privilige to know the Jeppson family growing up. I was always impressed at what a happy and friendly boy Kreg was, and any accomplishment he achieved in life was not a surprise to anyone who knew him or his family. May you find comfort during this time of sadness as you contemplate the many happy memories you have shared, and the glorius reunion to come.

Sincerely,

Dee and Tami Young

I was sorry to hear about the passing of Kreg. We were neighbors on Ramona Ave., while he was working and going to school. He was such a loving father and husband, and a great example to his friends and neighbors. May God Bless you during this very difficult time.

Kreg was a fellow ward member and good friend. Everyone enjoyed being in his presence as he had the ability to lighten up a room. He had an innate ability to relate to everyone and extended an arm of friendship to all. He lived a great life.

I was Kreg's training director for his psychiatry residency. He was a terrific resident who developed into a psychiatrist who was compassionate, dedicated, and skillful. His sense of humor was a wonderful addition to the resident group and experience. He was a key factor in developing the psychiatric research program at the Salt Lake City VA as he made a significant contribution to a PTSD/MRI reserach project that has led to an ongoing and successful neuroimaging research program. He is a great man who blessed many by his service in his mortal life. He will be missed by both colleagues and patients.

I knew Dr. Jeppson very briefly through an internship at the State Hospital, but even in the short time I knew him he touched my life. He was always so helpful and fun to be around. I am so sorry about Dr. Jeppson. I was the secretary on the Forensic Unit when he first started and loved working with him. He was a kind and gentle man who cared about other people greatly. He was also a wonderful doctor. He will be sorely missed at the hospital. May God be with you and comfort you in this difficult time.

Dear Trent, Mildred Brian and all, I am so deeply sad to hear of the passing of Kreg. I not only grew up with Kreg and Brian but worked with Kreg when he was a resident at the University. Few Doctors ever came close to showing the care and abilitys he did. He was always willing to help out with anything and was so pleasant and fun to be with. All of up on 5 west Univ of Utah inpatient psychiatry are very sad at this news. We not only have lost a great freind, but also a very skilled and valuble clinician. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
