Mary Henriksen Obituary

Mary Lee Clark Henriksen
October 11, 1928 - June 19, 2014
Mary Lee Clark Henriksen passed away peacefully Thursday evening, June 19th 2014. Mary Lee was born in Salt Lake City to William James Clark and Ellen Geneve Balmforth. She graduated from South High School. She married John Henry Henriksen and adopted two boys, JB and Todd. John and Mary Lee were sealed in the St. George Temple in 1998. She worked several jobs through the years from Zellerbachs to ZCMI. She really loved to be social with friends and go to lunch. She loved to golf and loved to walk, which she would do with friends nearly every day until recently. Her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her sisters and their children. She would visit one of them nearly every day. She has 5 grandchildren who she loved to take shopping and lunch. She also loved her 9 great grandchildren and always talked about how cute they were. For the last 3 years of her life, she lived with her granddaughter and 3 great grandchildren who really miss "old grandma". She is finally with her husband, which is what she has wanted for the last 10 years.
Mary Lee is survived by her son, JB (Janet) and their 3 children, Jessica (Shaun), David (Natalie), Melissa (Jeremiah), plus her two grandchildren Lauren and Landon. She is also survived by her sister Joanne and brother Jimmy. She was preceded in death by her husband John and her son Todd and her great granddaughter Lexi as well as her sisters Marjorie, Carol and Janet.
A viewing will be held at Wasatch Mortuary 3401 S. Highland Dr. on Tuesday June 24th from 6 to 8pm. A graveside service for family will be held Wednesday morning, June 25th at 9am.

What a perfect tribute. I remember staying at Uncle John and Aunt MaryLee's house while JB and I went to Bible School. After swimming in their pool MaryLee would make us tuna fish sandwiches. I still love tuna sandwiches. The Clark sisters are a "Legend". Their sisterhood is an example to us all. Not forgetting their little brother "Jimmy". My thoughts and prayers are with JB, Janet, their family and Landon and Lauren.
With love,
Becky Kerr
